INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS / NOTES:
Most models of the Mazda6 are pre-wired to support the EC Door Mirror Kit 0000-8C-H60. Since there are models that are not pre-wired, YOU MUST refer to section 1.0 below for procedure to verify pre-wire condition before ordering the mirror kit. Installation of the EC Door Mirror Kit requires that the vehicle is equipped with a factory installed or Genuine Mazda accessory interior EC mirror specified for this application.
PROCEDURE TO DETERMINE IF VEHICLE IS PREWIRED FOR INSTALLATION OF OUTSIDE EC MIRROR KIT.
1.0 Remove drivers side scuff plate. (Fig. 1.1)
1.1. Use a non-marring fiber stick to pry under plate and release clips.
2.0 Identify OEM rear main harness part number.
2.1. Locate the OEM rear main harness label attached to the OEM harness under the drivers side scuff plate. (Fig. 2.1)
2.2. If the OEM harness part number reads GS4C-670- 50 the vehicle is NOT pre-wired for the exterior mirror kit 0000-8C-H60. (Fig. 2.3)
Vehicles with OEM harness GS4C-670-50 will not support the installation of the exterior mirror kit.
2.3. Vehicles with all other main harness part numbers will support installation of EC Door Mirror Kit 0000-8C-H60.
